Prefer for what?

If your talking web clippings, there are a ton of threads already existing :).

Handstory. :)

But n2ifp is correct. Search and you'll find more than you ever wanted on this topic. For example:

HandStory lets me manage DOC files, Memos, Web Clips, and Images very nicely and neatly in one efficient app. While I usually don't like "all-in-one" apps, HandStory does an excellent job of consilidating several apps into one while keeping the interface simple and efficient.

Image viewing is quick and efficient.

Web clips typically render quite well. Obviously, less complex sites work best, but that's true for any handheld web browser/offline viewer.

Memos are viewable, creatable, and editable. Very nice.

As a DOC viewer, it is fast and very efefctive. I have literally tried 'em all, and HandStory ranks up at the top. Yes, it's missing a few of the "higher-end" bells & whistles, but as a DOC viewer, it's all I need.

I only have 4 specific feature requests for HandStory:
1. Native image format viewing:
HandStory converts ALL images to a Palm database format. While this increases compatibility (for example, you don't need a Memory Stick) I would love to be able to view .jpg, .gif, and .bmp images. Add this feature, make it lightning-fast like AcidImage, and you have a winner.

2. "File" picker:
Given the above feature request, I would like to be able to navigate the Memory Stick and select which images to view. Currently, HandStory only "looks" in RAM or in its own directory on the MS. Given my above request, this would facilitate viewing images taken with the NX/NZ series cameras.

3. Zoom images:
Image size is currently determined at conversion time. It would be nice to access the original size image and then zoom in or out as needed ala AcidImage. Scroll, change image...Press then scroll, zoom in/out. Again, speed and efficiency are the goals.

4. Encryption function ala MemoSafe:
MemoSafe has one of the BEST models for encrypting memo text in my opinion. Just check a checkbox, enter a password, and it's encrypted. Enter the password when prompted and you can view it. Simple, elegant, efficient, and it maintains full compatibility with the standard Memo database. I have always thought that MemoSafe's model should be part of the standard Memo model, but the Powers That Be at Palm don't feel the same way. Add this feature to HandStory, and I could eliminate yet another app.

For me, it's a toss-up between HandStory and iSilo. It certainly is nice to have one app (HandStory) that gives access to eBooks, memos, Doc files, web clips and images. It's easy to create new Doc/Clip/images with HandStory, too. A definite nice user interaction touch.

Still, iSilo does the best rendering of HTML files of any app I've tried. It supports tables, which neither HandStory nor Plucker do. I don't think Avantgo does, either. It has good compression, and displays very large web clips much better than Plucker does (alas, as I love open source software).

I haven't used iSilo as an eBook reader, yet, so I can't compare it to HandStory in that regard. I have noticed that HandStory seems to be able to create bookmarks sort of on-the-fly from lines of text that have the right format, where Qed and iSilo don't see those bookmarks. That can be nice for books in Doc format -- assuming they've got the right syntax for chapter titles. (Not quite sure what that syntax is, though.)

The tap-and-hold menu features of HandStory are nicer than the bottom-menu of iSilo, too.

So I guess, for eBooks I'd stick with HandStory, but for web clips, I may switch to iSilo (especially once iSiloX's IE integration comes out of beta into the main release).

Which ever one will be the first to allow me to enter into my Wall Street Journal subscription and download what I want from it onto my NX. None can do it so far:(

The new iSiloX beta with IE integration may work. I'm able to download and convert Salon.com subscription articles now. When I used to copy and paste the URL into regular iSiloX I would get the log-in page instead of the article.

Give it a try-

Tixx, I actually thought that Alex helped you out with your WSJ problem. But I guess you don't know: he put up a post on turcic.com's forums a while ago re cookie idenitifcation via Mozilla which should solve your problem.
