Shortcuts

I have just started using my clie SJ20. I am trying to use the Shortcuts (under Prefs), but can't figure out how to insert them in another app. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Theres a grafitti stroke you use. I can't really describe it but it's like a roller coaster loop starting from the left and ending to thr right (thats the only example I can think of) after that you enter the shortcu you assigned in prefs.

 

Check your manual on your CLIE CD :)

Check out the Graffiti Help pop-up screen. You can set you Clie to launch the graffiti help by stylus swipe from graffiti area to the screen. To do that, go to Prefs, Buttons, Pen..., Graffiti Help, OK. The shortcut stroke is in the second page of the pop-up screen.

Here (http://www.palmosworld.com/shortcuts/shortcuts.html) is another useful purpose of the shortcut.

I use shortcut to type 29-digit password on the System Lockout, so any onlooker would not be able to recall the number since they are just zipping across the screen. This makes unlocking the Clie less painful since I just need to do two stylus strokes.

The shortcut can be made by drawing a cursive lower case "L" and then the corresponding letters.
