I've found a very useful feature in WorldMate that can update the clock of my PC and my Clie.
Just activate the WorldMate conduit and check "update Palm time" and "Update PC time" checkbox and you can update the PC/Clie clocks with the "Atomic Time Sync" feature in WorldMate.

I found it on the Hotsync option on the PC but it is greyed out i.e. cannot check the box. Is it available is a full version only?
Thanks

The latest version v9.1 allows this to be set up on the PC and next Hotsync will pick it up

For those who don't have worldmate, there's a freeware program called "Timesync" that will do the same. It rocks.

Yes you are right! You just have to right-click on the hotsync-icon, choose "user-setup(so it is in Germany) and then dobbleclick the Worldmate.
You also can download the actual weather forecast of your preferred region
There is a new version Worldmate Professional: more town (and weather forecast)+actualization of money exchange rates and time (which also is available in Worldmate Standard)
A great programm - but a little bit too expensive:mad:

well, if you mean "TimeSync" from Blue Nomad Software, it's not freeware (anymore?).

Great stuff - thanks! PInstall also has an option to update the time each time a program installation is done. All you have to do is install at least a program a day and you're "up to date." :)

I sync the time every 2 days, and it's scary to note that my time is alway a few secs off.
In the PC world this means the backup batterie is going to die => time to prepare for more to come.
Since the NX hasn't one, would it be scary if it varied more than -say- 5secs?

well... I have never read the specs... for the time on a PDA.. but They have to be better than on a PC. I bet the PC loses more time than the PDA.....
What stinks... is here at work... my PC syncs up time with the local server. I try and not reboot but once a week or 2 ... and when I do... it gets a new time.. and sure... so does my PDA ... I don't know how reliable my syncs are... says I lose a second every 6hrs and 12min .... that seems high to me... but again I think it is because my PC gets new times from the server which is probably jacked up itself...
Shouldn't not.
You need at least three timeservers to get a reliable time sync.
All servers are addressed and then the timeshift between calculated to get the exact time. Time servers near you will get better results. More server as well, as you can calculate more. Maybe your network server slows the process down as well?
