iTunes 5 has come out, and its the best looking window on my Mac! (IMO)

Could there be a Quicktime version like this? To a more drastic scale, could this be what the next Mac OS, 10.5 "Leopard" will look like? Why else would Apple release a new look for one of their apps, and not use it again? And why use the different UI when everything else in the Operating System (that this app, iTunes, came with)is different looking? I persona;;y really like this look, and wouldnt mind every window look ing like iTunes 5. :)

I like the look too and wish it's a system-wide design.

It actually reminds me of the Windows XP Royale theme ;)

Tiger looks much different than earlier versions. Apple software hints what the new OS will look like, so I guess 10.5 could look like that.

Cool.

XP Royale? Where'd that come from??? I never had it.

I hope it is the new look, its so wonderful and more sleek...HEY! Can someone make a SkinUI skin off this?!?!? :)

To PalmPowerups!

Here's the Windows XP Royale theme (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Themes/Royale-Theme-for-WinXP.shtml). ;)

I used Royale a bit. Nice, theme. :-)

Yeah, I agree that iTunes 5 is a step in the right direction graphics-wise. Now can someone make a SkinUI theme based on it? :-D

I've seen that theme before, someone on here had it. Its blue though, ew. :)

I mentioned an iTunes 5 skin to Bazzeil @ PalmPowerups, he wanted a next project, I first told hime to do one that looked PowerBooky, and just mentioned iTunes 5 last night, lets see what happens. :)

I'll jump on the boat here and say I wish all of the GUI looked like iTunes 5 did. Brushed metal isn't my thing.

The metal is kinda, eh.

I like it so far. Less wasted space, more streamlined desing.

One reason the brushed metal is nice, is because its not blue Windows. Maybe Apple could have a white metal and brushed metal theme in one OS, like an option to change. I'd love to see a white metal. Or Platinum...and gold! Apple has a metal theme, get more metals!

Yeah I think it will. But its not part of the OS. I'd like to see Apple make this part of Macintosh.

Hmm, this is not Apple's thing.

Apple doesn't like the idea of themes, and nobody is exactly sure why.
Personally, I think all of Apple's user interfaces are very nice. I'm currently a big fan of their Pro interface.

I think I know why Apple doesn't allow themes...
It is so a bad theme isn't installed, and the Aqua look is ruined. Mac OS looks fine as it is :)

Pro interface? Is it what Macs are running right now?

No, the Pro interface is what you see in applications such as Shake.
