TH55 bought for £20

Yesterday I managed to find a Clie TH55 in Dixons for £19.97, it was missing the charger and was ex display but in excellent condition and included eveything else. It also came with a 1 year warrenty.

It may be worth looking in your local Dixons to see what they have.

I have ordered a charger so I will post back to let you know if its in working order etc.

Are you located in UK? Are there any Dixons in the US?

My th55/e was purchased at Dixons at Heathrow Airport almost a year ago. . .receipt shows 9/23/04. Don't euro CLIEs have 2year warranty per EU? This would be helpful info if I go to sell mine anytime soon.

Yes I am in the UK, and I'm pretty sure they don't have a Dixons in the US.

As far as I'm aware Sony PDA's only come with a 1 year warranty, but I could be wrong.

In germany the law (in agreement with european laws) says:
in the first year the manufactorer has to proof that you damaged your device if he wants to get money for a repair
in the second year you have to proof that the device was damaged when you bought it if you don't want to pay for the repair.
So there is a one year manufactorer warranty and an extended second year but it is often difficult to proof the damage was there when you bought it...

The display is in excellent condition no marks what so ever.

The charger arrived this morning and I'm happy to report that the unit works.
