I have installed TomTom Navigator 5 on my NX73V using the steps described on http://home.btconnect.com/stewartrogers/tomtom.html
In the installation description the writer said he had an issue with MCA 2.05 and TomTom: the latest MCA version appeared to to truncate the voices on his device, and he only solved it by using MCA 2.03 instead.
This very same thing occurred on my Clie.
Anybody has any idea why this only occurs with MCA 2.05 and not 2.03?
I have used 2.05 since I first bought the NX, and it never gave me any problems, so I would like to keep it :(
Note that I haven't experienced any issues with 2.03 yet, but I am kind of a latest version guy

Please try it for yourself (ie. start with 2.05 and if you have the same problems go back to 2.03)

That's news to me.
Core functionality hasn't changed in a long time. The later releases added more compatibility for some games, and removal of diagnostic code (which added extra overhead meant for detecting bad programs)
If 2.03 works better for you, then use it.

Dear CliePet,

I did try it for myself, and experienced the very same problem (with MCA 2.05 the TomTom voice would say, for example "turn left in ...meters" as oposed to MCA 2.03, where it told complete instructions.)

I guess it is MCA 2.03 for me, then...
Thank you for this little great program :p

Dear Bruno,

Can you connect a BT GPS on your NX73 ?

My BT GPS (BT-77 Nemerix) is quickly disconnected with Tomtom 5.

Dear Samuel from Fr,

I have no problems with the BT GPS (a RoyalTek RBT 2001 SirfIII) and the NX. I have already used them on a few big trips, without any issues...
Do you get your Nemerix to work at all? Does it work for a little bit and then disconnect?

Just out of curiosity,
One app I find very useful when using TomTom and the BT GPS is Blue Fang www.geocities.com/benmichell , which automaticaly toggles the Clié BT on when opening TT, and off when exiting the program :)

Dear Bruno,

Thank you for your help.

I bought a G-Tek gs-r238 sirf III unit and Tomtom 5 works fine with it.

Tomtom seems to hate Nemerix GPS !

On my NX-73 I also needed to downgrade MCA to 2.03 to get complete voicemessages.
