New Avantgo beta version on OS4.1

I have read on another site that the new version of avantgo does indeed work with older versions of palm os with Hi res.

Does anybody have any experience with the new avantgo beta build 65?

It appears the beta is for OS 5.

There's a thread in the N-series section. An N760 user has it installed on his PDA and says it works great (storing to the card and all . . . )

All I can say is try it...just make sure you back up first.

I tried it a while ago, it wasn't very stable (crashed once or twice) looked awful (all the fonts went back to lo-res, ick) and was very, very slow. The one thing it was was hi-res +. Don't know if any of these have been fixed but I finally gave up and went iSilo. It's sad because I was such a staunch supporter of avant go, but I couldn't take not being able to read a 1/3rd of my screen.

I hear that. I really like the set up of AvantGo and MobiPocket. These applications pull the news for me into my PDA at every hotsync; however, I gave up on AvantGo and now only use MobiPocket. You know I am ready to pay for something that allows me to grab more news and websites on Sync's that is easy and I don't need a PhD to install. Anything simple like AvantGo and MobiPocket with high resolution that is easy? ... I am willing to pay for it (of course, if it works).
