Anyone care to comment on how quick they enter text after some experience with the keyboards?

thanks

It took me so long to get used to the spacing on the NR and NX keyboards. I finally got really fast, (never as fast as a full size keyboard, obviously, but twice as fast as graffity, which I am VERY fast at). Now that I'm on the TG, I'm getting faster by the day, but haven't caught up to my NR/NX speed. I've only had it a week, and at the rate I'm accelerating, I'll probably end up faster on the TG than on the NR/NX within then next couple of weeks. Unlike most people, I LOVE the keys' toughness. Nothing is more annoying than the plasticky keys of some other PDAs (no names ;) )

This keyboard feels as solid, if not more solid, than the NR/NX style (which, by the way, I love as well!)

My 2 cents.

I was getting about 20 to 30WPM, and I'm just as fast on my new NX keyboard.

I also has a little more than 20 WPM. Its faster than using Graffiti.

The major inconvenience is that I have to push the blue shift (!) key when inputting numbers. Since I often have number input this cause me some delay in input somehow.

Use Okey and problem will be solved

alan98, how does Okey solve the numbers problem posed earlier?

Out of curiosity I tested my speed. I consistently get about 20 wpm with graffity, and 30 wpm with the keyboard.

I forgot to mention, I don't use the very tips of my thumbs, but close to the tips.

What does oKey do is that it comes with a function call enable sticky keys and once enabled, it will allow the keys on the keyboard to be in sticky mode. That is you can just press the red key follow by the (.) key to get (!). U no longer need to hold on to the red/blue keys..

Cheers,
Alan

Any of you guys have a problem when using the crtl - return combo to select "OK" boxes after using Okey to get you there. For some reason I am unable to make it work. Anyone else?

Same here. Didn't work...but can make use of the superjog assist in Okey to do that.

Instead of CTRL and Return, hit CTRL and "O" on Okey. This will select the okay buttons for me.

You can use ctrl - J to "hit" a button you've highlighted. (rtfm) ;)

Palm Gear (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=45479), or Freeware Palm (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/okey.shtml).

I would say my typing speed has increased significantly since I received my TG50. The keys do seem softer.

I'd say that before my typing was as slow as a Honda Prelude, but now is as fast as a GSX Eclipse. :)

(Note that Preludes are the heaviest and slowest econoboxes Honda ever made)
