View Full Version : ux50 display problem
Hi, my display keeps flipping over unpredictably when in laptop mode. It seems to be getting worse and is really frustrating. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
(Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere; I HAVE searched!)
Thanks in advance

Try disconnecting the battery and reconecting it. Look here for instructions and be careful because the speaker wire is connected between the back cover and the UX and it can break very easily.

Hey SJB, there's a small (rather simple) switch in the hinge that collects dust. This is your most likely cause. To gain access, you need to pull the screen apart. It's not too difficult, but you need to be careful. A good clean and you should be ok.

The instructions on Cliebattery.com are not complete. They're talking about four screws but you have to remove 5 screws.
The last one is located almost under the capture button on the backside near the hinge.
