clie sj33 ir problem

Are you running any overclocking hacks? Those tend to mess with the IR....

FYI: If you're trying to connect with a Dell laptop that's in a port replicator, IR won't work at all. IR only works in the freestanding laptop. Some of us have complained to Dell about this (with no result as yet).

a buddy of mine had problems with his ir, too.

he ended up resetting the sj30 a couple of times before it worked.

my sj30 didn't work either... even resetting didn't help.

i now have a tg50.

how do you actually check whether your ir can work.... there is sending and receiving.... for my sj33 when i move my clie align with the ir of my laptop it shows new hardware detected.... does that mean my laptop detected the clie or the clie sends a signal over to the laptop....

The problem with mine is that it seems that sometimes it can detect my clie sometimes cannot.... it is so frustrating....

that's a good test.

i was testing mine by trying to send/receive from another pdas.

is your laptop ir working... maybe one or the other is going bad.

test somemore.
