Hello,

I wondering if some of you can help confirm that IC (I'm using 1.5 with my NX80) can convert mpeg2 video after installing the Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder. A demo can be found here:

http://www.elecard.com/download/

(I chose the Elecard DVD Player player option, because it appears to be the cheapest purchase option.)

I searched the forum and there are some references to Elecard, but nothing specifically mentions that it enables IC to handle mpeg2. From my limited experiences, it does...

Basically this means you can set your favorite DVD ripper to only have 1 VOB file for its output. After ripping, you can rename file.vob to file.mpg and process with IC. Pretty slick. So far it has worked for one movie, but I am uncertain how it would work with DVDs with audio delay.

It also greatly helps in watching TivoToGo files on your Clie. Basically all you need to do is process your .tivo file with etivo's Directshow Dump Utility, and process with IC. (IC won't convert without Elecard.)

Directshow Dump Utility can be found here:

Feedback would be greatly appreciated...
