Hi!

I tried to install Tom Tom 5 on my TH55 but without success.

Red alot of posts here, every single one of the said it worked fine,
but i wonder if someones has hade the some problem as I do..

When i start the installation, first I'm supposed to select which language to use and then directly after selecting the language a screen appears telling me; "No compatible PC connection software was found. Please install the PC connection software supplied with your handheld device." ??

Does onayone know which software that is or is there a work-around?

Do you have a working clie desktop installation.
If not install clie desktop.

if you have a working and the installation is still not working try the following:

from the Voice folder of the CD:

take the deum.cab
unzip it and rename the files
00data01.001=data01.chk
00data01.002=data01.vif

deuf.cab
00data02.001=data02.chk
00data02.002=data02.vif

from the PalmOS folder on the CD:

navigator.CAB
unzip it and rename the files:
Naviga~1.000=setup.dat
000start.001=start.prc
00munich.002=Munich.bin
0000data.003=data.chk
000000cn.004=cn.prc

before you install the files to the clie make sure you delete all TT related files. They have the creator ID "MniC". You can find and delete them with the filemanager filez.
Delete the TomTom folder on the memory stick if there is one. delete the Map-folder on the ms if there is one.
Delete start.prc in the folder \Palm if it exists.
Delete the cn.prc in the folder \Palm\launcher if it exists.

Now create the folder TomTom on the memory stick
Copy the following files using a card-reader to this folder:

setup.dat
Munich.bin
data.chk
data02.chk
data02.vif
data01.chk
data01.vif

Install the files cn.prc and start.prc using the clie install program.

Now create the maps using the tomtom install-cd. use the pc harddisk as target. Copy the maps to memory stick using a card-reader.

This should work.
