I purchased the Sony PEGA-AC10 power adapter and was surprised to find that even though it's listed on the Sony website as an NZ compatible accessory, it does not work with the NZ unless you buy an additional cradle.
Does anyone know of an AC power adapter that will work with the NZ? I alread have the boxwave minisync but that requires a computer to do the battery charge.
Thanks.

Thanks. I hope you didn't send it back. You don't have to purchase an additional cradle. All you have to do is unplug the cord from the cradle that comes with the NZ,(The part that plugs into the wall that is about 2 ft. long.) and plug it into the PEGA-AC10. Mine works fine.

I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying that the AC adaptor will plug directly into the NZ without the cradle at all? What sony told me is that the connector in the AC adaptor is not compatible with the socket on the back of the NZ? Are they wrong?

yes, they are wrong and it fits/works. just be careful since you need to insert it at an angle. for that matter, pretty much all the T/NR accessorires work as well, except keyboard, gamepad and anthing that needs to be plugged in at the bottom, which the NZ obviously cannot do. otherwise, the connecter is exactly the same.

There is another thread somewhere about this topic, but probably a couple of weeks ago. I am not all that impressed with Sony Support sometimes.I have to correct what I wrote earlier about the cord. Everything you need is with the adaptor. I just opened mine tonight, and dropped the other part of the cord, and didn't see it. I used it tonight and it works fine. You just have to be careful when plugging it in. The car adaptor works too. Good luck.
