I was looking for an app that will automatically add annual reminder of events like birthdays, anniversaries, etc.(since I have problem remembering all those 50+ dates) whenever I enter the date in AddressBook and stumbled upon this app, Pane 1.2.1 (Palm ANnual Events), a freeware that you can find it in ClieSource, Application, Utilities section (here is the link: http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/fileinfo.php?id=22).  It automatically add the events to DateBook (supposedly also works with DateBK3, DateBK4, DateBook+, Agenda+, or ActionNames) whenever you enter dates in custom section of AddressBook.  I just rename the custom 1 to birthday, custom 2 to anniversary, etc.  It also works nicely with A5 too.  I use cake icon for birthday event.  It will also remind me 1 or 2 or more days in advance.  Give it a try if you haven't seen it.

Agendus and Datebk can have repeating events - so you just make it an annual event. This saves you entering (or re-entering) the details every year.

But if you are looking for a specific program to list your annual events, then I suppose what you have listed will do the job.

I'm not sure if you understand the benefit of using Pane. The OEM DateBook also have repeating events. I just like the fact that Pane will do it automatically onto the DateBook once you enter the event, e.g., birthdate, on the AddressBook's custom field. Before this, I've been putting birthdates on the note section of AddressBook, for reference, and enter it again in DateBook as an annual event and reminder. That is entering the data twice. With Pane, I just rename the AddressBook's custom 1 to birthdate once and enter the birthdates for whomever I need to remind myself of in that field. Pane will automatically create the birhdate event in the DateBook for you. Having a list of the annual events in one screen is also nice to have.

Anyway, it sounds like this program may be useful for some.

... another very popular, free alternative is HappyDays (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=E55CD299-385E-4562-8CA8334DCDE85B5B&prodID=6289)

Agreed, PANE is very nice. And now I know what the name means :). Very transparent operation, as well; put the info in the address book, and once a day PANE scans it automatically.

I like the way the untimed event alarm (Pane Alert) can be set other than the default midnight of DateBook Alert, which would be useless for most people. I set it at 6:00 am which I usually wake up so it acts as a wakeup alarm. The regular alarm is set at 6:05 am as a snooze alarm. :)
