I have been a long time user of TextPlus which still seems to have an issue with my T5. It works fine in normal state, but seems to be causing BackupMan to crash most of the time when it attempts to do an automatic backup. BitsNBolts confirms this and for now there does not seem to be a TextPlus - BackupMan -Palm OS solution. They blame it on the NVFS issue and it could be. The thing is are there other good text insertion programs like TextPlus that will work. If I can only keep one the backup side wins. If I remember to disable TP first it works ok but otherwise it is crash city.

Any thoughts and/or recommendations. Other than this the T5 with the 1.1 update is working great with not other problems. Getting to reallly like it.

TextPlus leaves databases open which crashes backup on NVFS devices. You can uncheck every app in TextPlus before you backup (not particularly efficient when scheduled at 3:12 AM and not 100% sure this will fix; a scheduled macro would be nice) or try RescoLock. Sharky/Tyler may have a suitable fix or some ideas.

The good news is that my G2 skills have improved - I get to do it so much more. Took off the scheduled backup and have the hotsync backup checked - that will still crash if TP is enabled but thus far never if I uncheck. This is helping my memory as well - not of the flash type but as in don't forget to uncheck before you sync.

I use BackupBuddy and have no problems at all. Try uninstalling TextPlus and reinstalling, use BB, and you should be good to go.
