So, here's my question. Being that it needs J2ME, and we can use http://www.palm.com/us/support/jvm/ , think we'll be able to use it? Rollout of this product is very limited at the moment, and I wasn't able to find any place that had it...

I'm really wondering how it would perform on my T|E. Think about it, nearly full page rendering... *drool*

How bout it, what do you think..
Got my fingers crossed..

This got me excited too because I'm a Opera fan. I'm searching around for more info and I'll post back if I find anything good. :)

The possibility of a java applet, that renders pages better than any current PDA web browser out there, really has me wanting to find out more on this. I've never used Opera myself, being a recent FF convert, but I'd definately take the leap for my Palm. :) Hope you can find some good info! :D

According to the Opera Mini page, this requires an remote server to crunch down the web page before it's sent to the phone. I suspect that this would be maintained by the provider, rather than something that Opera themselves operate. FYI, if you can't get this to actually browse, this may be why.

Got it, am currently playing with it. Version listed is in foreign language, but it works... kinda...
hmm..
Out of memory...
Crash...
Soft reset..
Works again..
New error...
Soft reset...
Warm Reset
Soft reset (failed)

Can't get off a soft reset.

Warm Reset, changed file type, and file creator id, and deleted prc.

Palm is back up and running like normal atm...

I might have had a bad install of the J2ME environment, but I won't be able to find out for a while..

Best of luck for every one else..

I'm waiting for MiniMo to come out. The mobile Mozilla browser. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/ Hopefully they will start working on something for Palm OS.

I would love a MiniMo browser, but there has not even been a hint of a rumor of a palm OS version. Still hoping though!!!
