So what is the longest time you've ever spent on the computer (or console) playing games?
I think about two hours is my max.
Edit- Added smiley so as not to offend (Not that I take death lightly ;) )

It is not unusual for me to spend 3-4 hours playing "Enemy Territory" online.
(An online battle simulation game (and free!))
My bro-in-law and I are in a clan.
I can believe if he was intense enough playing it could happen, especially after an extended (hours long) session only drinking coffee!
When my wife works weekends I have been known to "marathon" it a bit.
You can look at it this way: At least he went down doing something he enjoyed?

Well, it's not really THAT stupid, people have been killed over video games in the past, just not in the way you jokingly meant it, I guess.

Oh, and back when I was heavily addicted to WC3, I could easily game for over 24 hours... I would probably crap out round 30 hours and fall asleep, but, yeah.

I second that -- I got hooked to WoW -- I don't play every night, but when I do, I sink a couple hours -- so far I've done only one all-nighter so far ;)
It was a WoW (and Guild Wars) summer for me actually. I was targetting for level 60 but reached only level 38. (I guess the trips I did "ruined" my goal. LOL.)
I remember the first few days was quite feverish for me because it was so easy to level up... now it takes about 2-3 days to level up because I'm going solo. Like krhainos, I don't play as often now but when I do, I usually log in for a couple of hours.
If you want to meet/help me at WoW, I'm in the Icecrown server as Jroaeyl. ;)
I hope I do get to reach level 60 by the end of 2005 because next year, I'm so going to try Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (http://lotro.turbine.com/).

Well, on my small private LAN-Partys (once a year @ birthday) I play up to 16 hour. But there are breaks for eating.

I purposley stayed away from WoW for just that reason. I like RTS games around a thousand times more as it is, but I know i'd still get addicted. I still play WC3, just nowhere near what I used to. =) I would love to play you someday in a real game, Jack.

Unless this is a dupe/reporting on an old thing, this would make it the second or third Korean who's died from what I guess you could call gaming OD.
It's kinda freaky that someone could get *that* drawn in to something 'tho... Being able to achieve such an unrelenting focus, the guy woulda made an awesome hacker. :(

Why would anyone game for that long? I start feeling sick after like 3hrs if I am gaming and staring at the same screen for that long.
