Certificate database

I am trying to log into e-bay. I am getting an Alert message
It says
"Invalid certificate.(Issuer of the root certificate not registered int he certificate database)
So, what is the certificate database?

Saw your other post, but this one's more specific. When I log onto eBay from my handheld, I get the same message. When I get it, I just click on 'okay' (or it's equivalent. . .can't remember) and it goes away. Usually I get that error message 3 times before the myeBay page loads up. So I, too, get the error message, but by clicking past it I still manage. Are you clicking on 'cancel' when the message pops up?
