Buzzing Screen

My LD screen buzzes continually. Is this normal?

The volume and pitch changes as I push down on different parts of the screen so I guess that its the digitiser rather than the LCD.

I also have an official palm screen protector on it- does this make it any worse?

Sadly many if not all of Palm PDAs have screen noise/buzz. My LD got it on the third day.
