hotsync cable?

Hi,

Do the jhotsync cable break easily?
THe cable for my E2 doesn't seem to connect to palm desktop to hotsyn?

I think the usb port on my note book works but I not sure about the cable or the port on the e2?

any suggestion?

What OS is on your notebook?

windows xp, why? it was working for about a month and all of a sudden it just stop working.

I've been sharing the usb port with my cannon scanner if that helps?

Ok, so another cable works. Was trying to determine if it was cable or desktop as Windows sometimes can't find the device. You may have a defective cable. Is it the button? Mine sometimes doesn't connect if I press crooked, just press again. You can check if cable bad by initiating sync from the Hotsync launcher on the E2.
