Here is my situation. I bought an nx-70 for $490.00 last week and am enjoying it quite a bit. However, my wife has expressed her disappointment over not being able to print quality photostaken with the nx-70 camera. I told her about the nz-90 its camera and its ability to take pictures and print them staight fromthe cradle and also plug it into a tv forslideshows. Here were her words "I don't care what it costs, get it!".
After being revived by paramedics I am now left with a predicament. I love the nx-70. The nz-90 looks incredible. What are the pros and cons from the experts here?? Is it worth the extra money?? Does it support MS pro?? Is the camera significantly better???(It appears to be from the shots I have taken at CompUSA). What are the significant improvements in the 90 (if any)? One of the bonuses is that I have an epson printer that is on the compatibility list that I have seen.
Thanks
Don

Don,
Yes, both the NX and NZ will work with the PRO sticks. Drivers will be coming out to load on both PDAs for full functionality of the PRO Sticks.
The camera between the NZ and NX is worlds different.
The NX basically has a fixed type lens, where the NZ is more of a digital camera with auto-focus, Aperture(sp??) adjustment.
1600x1200 maximum resolution (NX has 640x480 maximum resolution)
Flash on the NZ, but not on the NX.
I'd go to Sony's site.. and look at the camera specs for the NZ... that should give you a good difference between the NX and the NZs.
If the wife says to get one.... then Sell your's on ebay or return it.. or whatever.... and get yourself a NZ ... Hell.. Get 2 of 'em.. and give one to your wife :)
Just Get one...
Seriously, there is a HUGE difference, particularly if you want to keep a couple of those snapshots for the future.
I have been taking pictures at 2 megapixels and e-mailing them to my mother in Denmark. I simply love having a camera with a build in e-mail client.
The camera can not be compared with the camera in the NX. as the NX is a VGA resolution camera, the one in the NZ is a ACTUAL digital camera able to produce 8x10 prints.
Make some sample prints from my website. www.bophoto.com/clie
click on the gallery, and download some of the fullresolution images. print them from your epson then you can be the judge of the difference. I think you will agree.
The lens is about what would be a 35mm on a regular camera.
Indoor I am falling in love with the night sene + portrait setting which opens the shutter long enough to show the background, and then uses the flash to fill the object in the foreground. it works great.
It is not what you would expect from a $800 digital camera, but it is a very functional bundle because everything is mixed into the tool. both the e-mail, epson printing, camera and your PDA.
I have several pro weight digital SLR's but my NZ is going with me everywhere, and because of that, it take more pictures which I want to keep...
(Get the replacement warrenty so if your kids kill the camera you get a new one)
Besides, if you only had your camera for one week, take it back and say it did not work for you but you want to upgrade to the top of the line one itstead.

If you like taking pics with the NX you'll love the NZ... I was amazed when I ran two pics of the same thing (one NX, one NZ)thru Paintshop. Night and day difference!!!
