I would love to see some of these for ZLauncher.

And I would like to know if you can change Icons in OS5.
Thanks.

Sign me up for wanting Gort's Icons too! I'm half tempted to reload Silver Screen, change app icons, then go back to ZLauncher in order to keep them.

Me three. App Icon works for me to change icons in OS5, although it has a few bugs and doesn't like to cooperate 100% of the time. Unfortunetly, I can't figure out figure out where to get icons sets for it. ZLauncher icon sets works but these are the only ones i can find.

The silver screen hi-res icons look nice using AppIcon . . . you just have to import them. You can take a look at them HERE (http://www.pocketsensei.com/hires.htm) .
Oddly enough, I can't get ZLauncher Icons to work with AppIcon.

I have a problem editing icons also. I can't remember what I did to make the ZL icons work but I did have to import them too. I will check it out and get it back to you

You can use SilverScreen to permanently change the icons...that's what I do. I've just started trying AppIcon to then use the OS5 icons...works okay, so far!

AppIcon change is as permanent as SilverScreen's is, isn't it? You can delete AppIcon and the Icons stay changed. It creates overlays.
How does SilverScreen do it?

Same way; delete SS and the icons remain. (Geez, I hope you weren't asking for a more technical answer. ) ;) The only downside is, the process needs to be repeated if you load an update to any of the apps, as it reloads the original icon.
Anyway, I just sat here and changed some via SilverScreen, then dumped it off and went back to ZL.... Man, it's pretty now!
Only hitch: 2 apps refused to change icons. And when I went back to ZL, the small icons for those apps became lil' black line drawings. (The large icons remained "normal".) I reloaded the apps and their small icons came back ok. But I have no clue why they were being obstinate.

Ok, so AppIcon is just easier. 'Nuff said.

Also...the overlays take up RAM which changes by SilverScreen do not....

PurpleMD, do you know how SS does it WITHOUT overlays? I'm gonna have to break down and try it, I guess . . . just so I can see....;)

This is from the Silver Screen FAQ:
"The changes you make in SilverScreen overwrite the third party application's icon of the same bit depth. The b/w icon is unaffected. The overwritten icon is not stored anywhere and cannot be restored (i.e. just like replacing an icon on your desktop computer). To bring back the original icon the application in question needs to be installed again."
So it just completely overwrites the icon.

using overlays would be a good way to change all the icons for the apps in rom, i had not thought about that.
