Yeah, just downloaded and ran it on my POSE, and it's just as stable and elegant as you would expect from Windows. It even has a screensaver!

Seriously, this is funny. If you have space, download and install it.

Nice boot sound also.. At first it startled me.

Not sure if POSE will allow for the High Quality Audio.. but on my NX it made me do a double take of what was going on

I really like some of the error messages:

Erroneous Error - Nothing is Wrong
No Error - Yet
System Crash - We are unable to figure out our own code
Unexplained Error - Please tell us how this happened
then of course the blue screen of death. What would have been funnier is if those with keyboards could do a ctrl-alt-del combination and have something happen (something funny, hopefully). Ah well, perhaps in version 2 due out next April 1.

When it crashes all you have to do is tap the screen and it exits the app. I think its freeware.

This app has trashed my Clie. Nothing runs right, just one error after another. Just like my PC. All this and only $189.99.:rolleyes:

I wonder if PalmGear will actually allow you to complete a purchase of this...I got all the way to the credit card information page, and didn't want to go any further, as I don't want to risk a $189.99 charge. But I can't imagine that they would really let the sale go through!

Please , someone tell what was wrong with the original Palm Gui/OS? Having a different feel from windows makes the Palm fun. This looks like minnie-me, no offense toward little people but this is an expensive dumbing down for the Palm.The developer should use his obvious talents to make better creations.

First, we indeed had someone order it at Palm Gear for $189.99. I couldn't believe my eyes, but I swear we did. Check with PG if you don't believe. We called them and told them to cancel it as soon as we saw it, but the fact remains - the unofficial championship at April 1st 2003 has found its winner! (of course chances are that someone just used fake credit card).

Second, I somehow always miss to log-in to Clie Source and somehow always miss to find where the log-in button is. ClieSource, please make your site a little more WindowsPE-like, we poor developers need to find our way in it too! ;-)

Folks, the below is a real quote we just received by email. I was about to answer, but figured you might be able to lend a hand so that we calm down a customer while showing him he was taking a wrong approach.

Note that none of the sites (that we know of) will now take an order for the program; our own site lists it for free, which is what is has always been:

"I downloaded your windows pe program on my clie. everything i click on gives me an error message with a stupid joke on it. what kind of company are you running? If your demo does not work then how do you expect to sell your product. maybe i am doing something wrong but basically i am finding your product useless and if you do not respond i will post my opinion on the website reviews."

Again, what do you think is the best answer? :-)

We are turning towards just not answering. First and foremost, we find his attitude offending; second, any joke becomes very stupid if you have to explain it. Third, we don't like being threatened especially with publicity that can only benefit the prodct, considering the majority of you here gave it two thumbs up.

Bobby, you could send him a nonsence response to further agitate him, to insure he posts a review. You might also point out it is intended to be functionally the same as Windows and you were not involved in the design of Windows, then refer him to Microsoft for complete operational instructions.

Bobby . . . you could direct him/her here [evil grin]. I find it amazing somebody could take it SO personally . . . and taking for granted that developers don't have a sense of humor. (Ok, some don't . . . but we won't go there . . . ;))

And face it, if he posts anything derogatory anywhere, he will be laughed out of existence. EVERYBODY will know he's the only person in the Palm using world that didn't get the joke.
