Considering that the NZ90 has bluetooth built in (I use mine extensively with the Emtac bt GPS Receiver and a bt USB NIC and soon a SonyEricson T68i) is there a compatible bluetooth enabled keyboard?

I thought I saw one at Fry's Electronics a few weeks ago and wondered what it would take to use this with the NZ90/U. I've not had to install any drivers to access the two bt peripherals I currently use and from this forum I don't see anyone having to install drivers for the t68i so following that pattern would that also be the case with a bt keyboard?

If not then are drivers required or will it simply not work, if possible, does anyone have any knowledge of someone working on it?

In my case a functional keyboard or drivers is more important than CF drivers (besides I just ordered a 512mb Memory Stick Pro so CF is a non-issue). I desperatly need, as I sure many others do also, a keyboard for those long typing sessions.

Now *that* is quite an interesting question.

There was a good article on brighthand.com back in January that had the most potential... but I don't think anything has happened anywhere since then. Here's the link:

After searching the ClieSource Forum I was surprised with all the interest, need and want of a keyboard for the NZ90 noone had ever posed this question. Hopefully enough interest will be generated to get the manufacturers on the ball.

I read the article on Brighthand and according to it everyone from Targus, Belkin, Pockettop and even ThinkOutside are working on something with the 1st quarter of this year being a target release date. Well here we are in the first day of the second quarter and not a word, not even a peep.

Hopefully something is in the works because a bt Keyboard just makes perfect sense with the NZ90, Tungsten and any Clie with a bt Memory Stick other other pda's with their particular bt storage device card (if they have anything?)

I'm aware this is a keyboard question... but you've sparked my interest with the other products you've mentioned. The Emtac BT GPS reciever and the BT USB Nic. I bought a Belkin BT USB adapter but was unhappy with it because it only allowed my pc to act as a client, not a server. I want the Clie to be the client to my PC and hopefully surf the net using my DSL. Did you achieve anything close to this?

Actually I have the WL100 card which I use for surfing. It's faster, give me a greater distance from my wireless router, logs on easily without any hassle and I paid a pretty penny for it and already have a wireless network setup so I continue to use that for surfing the net. The bt NIC I have is used only for hotsyincing at this time. At least until I receive a SE T68i, then that will change when out in the field. At home, office and warehouse will continue to use the WL100 Lan card.

Search this forum for surfing the net with bt as there are a few threads that address your question much better than I can since I don't use my bt NIC to surf the net and don't really know how to set that up.
