Hello,

First of all, I'm glad to say i'm a Pocket PC convert. :D I am a pocket PC developer, and have several iPaqs but after seeing how bugy, slow and just plain crappy the new h5455 turned out to be, i sold it, kept my old 3975 for development and got myself a NZ90.

I am impressed. It's FAST, the screen is magnificent, the camera is great, the only complaint i have is that it should have more than 16MB of RAM. The battery, as crazy as it sounds, is a gazillion times better than the one on the ipaq h5455 which lasts somewhere around 45 minutes with the WiFi on. I'm almost done with a new game for PocketPC which, as soon as I get the tools, I will port it over to Palm OS. BTW, why hasn't anyone made a video phone over IP application?? This thing is made for it! :)

Anyway, I just got a 1GB Memory Stick PRO from B&H in the mail, so I will post a message if I have any unexpected trouble with it, but so far it works flawlessly, except for the software compatibility problems already mentioned here(MSExport, etc).

Also, I need help with a simple question. I am synching my Date Book with Outlook using the tool provided in the Clie CD. Now, even though my desktop and Clie are on the same time zone and time, the event times on my Clie Date Book are an hour earlier than those in Outlook. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Thanks!
Juan

Is Daylight savings time turned ON or OFF in both places, i.e, on the PC and the Clie? BTW, where do you live, plus, I thought the Pro sticks were not supposed to work with the NZ90 and older?

pertierr - can you try some speed tests with your new stick? I'm curious what's the difference in speed (via MSImport of course) copying say.... a 50Mb file from your PC to memory stick using the old faithful type and the new pro kind.

az-tek I also have a memory stick pro and it works perfectly. But I donīt think itīs faster than the old ones, you just do not need to carry more than one

I have read that the NX units will not get any speed benefit from the pro sticks and that the NZ units may or may not ... I do not know what is real on that issue... I am waiting for a 256 stick to be delivered...

pertierr,

Do you see that the battery level drop a lot when use with MS Pro? How often you use it with MS Pro? What did you put or how did you fillup in your 1GB MS Pro if you can't transfer anything with ms import? Is it by voice recording and video/photo taking? There is no way ot transfer it out right?

I am trying to read more about the NZ and the MSPro... I can not find too much at Sony's site. It makes mention of the NX units but not the NZ unit and I am at a loss... could some kind person supply a link? Thank you if you can...

you need a memory stick reader to copy stuff to the memory stick pro, I have the one that is also a mouse.
