I was wondering if the NX80V's native support for CF memory still causes problems for people with occasional stutters in 300kbps Xvids playing from a CF card in TCPMP, or MP3s having the same problem in Pocket Tunes?
I do have such a stutter every minute or so using the modified driver on my NZ90 (overclocked with Lightspeed), and don't know whether it's because:
- it's an underlying problem with the NX80V drivers that carried over into the modified driver,
- it's a problem that the NZ90 has with the modified drivers, possibly due to speed limitations on the CF interface, or
- it's my card (a 1gb PNY rebranded Toshiba with no speed rating advertised so presumably slow).
I don't have these problems playing stuff from a 512mb MS Pro.
I read that AthenaAmerica's CF Enabler has a cacheing mode, which their support says 'may' mean I don't have the problem using their driver... but I don't want to spend $27 if I don't have to :-)
Look forward to any comments.
