Metal or Plastic?

Allright, I am totally confused. Obviously the parts that look like brushed aluminum are aluminum, but what about the back? I think it is plastic, but if it was wouldn't the battery door match a little better?

From the weight of the device I suppose it's metal, but by temp I think it is plastic.

I think the back is metal and the battery door is plastic. The back seems colder than the door.

Is the flip screen cover plastic or aluminium?

It's whatever materials Sony could buy cheap and in massive quantities. At the rate Sony is going, they will deplete the world's reserves of Magnesium and Aluminum!

I'm sure that the flip screen cover is plastic plated with brushed aluminium. I'm not so sure about the back.

The cover is plastic with an aluminum insert (the brushed part is aluminum).

The back is still a mystery.
