Hello! I just got my UX50 back from Sony repair. It works fine, until I attempt to sync and reload my old apps...Then I get a fatal exception error, and get caught up in the circle of reboot/error/reboot...

I have attempted to sync the Clie using a different user name. It works, and I can sync my Outlook data, ect...Except I'll lose all my settings...and much of my software is specific to my original user name.

My question: Is there a way to sync my (hard resetted) Clie, using my original profile, without my 3th party apps being installed? This way (I am hoping) all my settings/preference will be retained, and I can load back my 3rd party apps (one at a time) and until I get to the app that is causing the problem.

Many thanks!

try warm reset (***not soft reset or hard reset) your palm, and install this freeware, check if your system is stable or not.
http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/stabilitytest.shtml

or if you can remember which software caused instability for your ux50, just remove it (and related database) in your backup folder in your PC.
* remember to backup the "backup" folder before doing anything.

Hey Tiger...Thanks for the tip (both of them!) Quick question: Typically, where is the backup Clie apps folder on the PC? (Great idea, BTW)...

Thanks!
