Ok, i dont know much about wi fi. What im trying to do is connect to the internet on my life drive via wi fi from home. I have a linksys router. What information do i need to put in my LD to be able to connect. or can i just turn the router on and it will automatically be able to go the net? Can someone please walk me thru the setup? Thanks.

LifeDrive is pretty good in finding networks but if you have encryption enabled you will need to enter those passphrases. Also, LifeDrive will use 802.11b, so if you have 802.11g wireless router you will need to enable 802.11b also (mixed mode). If you have MAC filtering enabled in router, you will need to add LifeDrives MAC address to the enabled list of devices. If there are a number of networks around, you will need choose the SSID you set in router from list of SSIDs the LifeDrive will provide you. I have been using DHCP for obtaining the IP address, so if your router provides those, it should be enough.
I dont have LinkSys router, but I hope this helps.

As far as connecting router to the internet is concerned you would need to set the wan parameters according to your ISPs instructions. Connecting the LifeDrive to the router might well work using the default settings.
