I believe Palminfosync is pricing this more in the 300$ range...

For $300, this thing will sell like mad, but at $650, it's just a joke.

No bluetooth or WiFi! One step forward, two steps back.

Is it just me, or are these prices a joke?

Palm's marketing department apparently enjoys April Fools jokes.

I just checked it out at Best Buy for myself, and indeed this SKU comes up at that price. Apparetly, Palm is serious about charging that much for the unit.

But then again, Palm still charges $299 officially for a OS4.1 160x160 side lit color screen device with a 33Mhz DB (the m515), I guess it makes perfect sense.

Seems to be a good device, but $650 is way too much. Anybody else hear pricing recently?

Wow, it can play quicktime! Like the NX sorta

That cannot be the price. Several sources from PIC who actually have this device now swear that the MSRP will be between $250-299. And $649 would place this Zire at an even higher price point than Sony's NX series. Palm isn't stupid enough to send this product on a suicide mission.

I suppose there's a chance that Best Buy is mistaken about the price of the unit. I never had that happen all the time working there however.
