This is more of can I make it work question? While cleaning out my attic the other day I found an old Sega Game Gear;(remember those?) well Sega in there wisdom also sold a battery pack that you could recharge to power your games. As I remember the battery pack was real good; lasted a 6 hour flight. Back to my question the battery pack is rated at 7.2V output. I have a 2nd JC40, the transformer on the corded end is a step down transformer I think(it steps down 120V to 5.2V right?) if I could find a cord that would connect the battery pack to the transformer could I charge my UX?
So what I would need is a patch cord from the battery pack(round connector) that would then split into a two prong connector to fit into the the transformer, anyone know what that cord would be off to FRY'S I go.

Thanks for reading any and all input welcomed.

The sort answer: No, you can't make it work.

Why? The JC40 power supply (AC10?) is a 'universal' type switched-mode AC/DC convertor. It'll take 100-240V AC and output 5.2V DC. If you want to see if your old 7.2V pack can be brought back to life, you'll also need a DC/DC convertor, to drop the output down to the 5.2V your UX is expecting. It's not really worth it. :(
