Hello,
I am a going to buying my first PDA and think that I have settled on a plam device with the introduction of TCPMP. The device that I want is the Tungsten T5. The only question that I have, and that I can't seem to find an answer for is is there a way to listen to Real Audio streams using Real Player or any other media player.
Thanks for the help,
David Waldie

I'm sorry, but I don't know of any Palm program that would allow streaming Real audio. I use Pocket Tunes Deluxe (http://www.pocket-tunes.com/) which allows streaming MP3 files (e.g. from Shoutcast). I hope they will add streaming of WMA files soon. As far as I know TCPMP does not support any streaming on the Palm platform yet - however it's on Picard's ToDo list.
Cheers.

If I read correctly on their site, Pocket Tunes just added support for all WMA formats, including protected and subcription formats. None of the protected formats support streaming to my knowledge. They would have to be decoded and have the raw stream streamed. Not going to happen.
Real formats, as far as I know, do not support streaming at all. If a player looks like it is streaming (and it is a single song, not a constant feed), it is probably just playing it as its downloading, not playing a stream.

Thank you for the replys, I like the idea of being able to stream shoutcast files, I was just hoping to be able to play music off of the bbc radio one.
Again, Thank you,
David

If the stream is setup the same, it might work. It cant hurt to try.
