Hi,

as my battery starts to loose capacity and needs to get recharged almost twice a day now I want to replace the battery, but most ebay sellers just offer batteries for nx60,70,80 and never mention the nx73.
Now I found one seller that offers a bettery for all nx (including the nx73) and the data of the battery is given as 3,7v, 1200 mAh, which is confusing for me as zlauncher tells me that my battery has 4.2V on full charge and hits critical value at 3.7V.

So do all clie nx use the same battery? And if so, which voltage does it have?

Thx for your answers,
Egalus

As far as I am aware 3.7 volts is the standard and indicates the 'average baseline' voltage 'under load'.

Mean Output Voltage should be around 3.7 to 4 Volts.

4.2 Volts is maximum output. Don't forget that just after a full recharge, either when the power is still plugged in or just after power is stopped the battery will not be under 'average' load so will show it's maximum..

The power supply to the Clie I believe is around 5.2 Volts.

3.7 Volts is the standard system critical level and not set by zlauncher (take a look in Filez information under battery for example.)

All the batteries I have seen are between 1100 and 1200 milliamp-hours at 3.7 Volts..

Basically except for manufacturing and quality differences a 3.7 volt battery will be what you want.

Thank you very much for this detailed information.
Never expected to get an answer as informative as yours, now I am sure that I can buy the advertised battery to replace my dying one.

You know. I've looked at various sites and can't even find a product code for any of the NX series battery replacements. I suspect the ones on ebay are created outside of sony support by battery manufacturers simply to fill a gap (and make some profit)..

The only battery code I have found was for the NZ series which may be different.

I think it's a matter of just trying your luck really. I think in another 6 to 12 months I'll be doing the same :)
