Looking for an address book replacement that offers tabs for categories and preferably HiRes support.
Anybody knows one?

Supernames is the best.

I like SuperNames too, but not this version. I use instead an earlier simpler version (and have copy if anyone needs it. You'll still have to pay reg. fee to use after intro trial period. This is NOT Warez!)

I like Supernames a lot. Tried Contacts 4 before and didn't care much for it. Looks nice, bit too busy, doesn't make it quick and easy to swith between categories, and not very easy to customize.
Supernames does all I need.
Thanks!

Not High res, but definitely high-power is Act! for Palm OS. It is for serious contact management, so has a lot of stuff besides just an address book.

Dude, that's almost $200!!! It must be able to automatically send flowers for birthdays and store fingerprints for this sort of money...

I have SuperNames and Contacts 4. I much prefer Contacts 4.
As much as I like SuperNames I find Contacts 4 much more intuitive. SuperNames is probably a bit more powerful but the additional functions didn't do it for me.

Plus, Contacts 4 is skinable (I'm just waiting for the hi-res skins!)

It does that...

Act! is overkill to store your girlfirends' numbers. For me it is pretty much the nucleus of my whole business.

I used to be a big time supernames user, but now i fell in love with tealphone. its super easy to use, yet it does so much. plus the app is very tiny in size!

Yep, I agree. I've played with most of the apps discussed here and keep coming back to TealPhone.

I use PopUp Names. I can pull up addresses without leaving the current app, and the search routine is excellent. Also features recently search results display. Full featured yet very small footprint.

I'm using Popup Names too. Very fast and easy to use. The best of it is that you don't need to leave the current app when launching it.

Are there any Addressbook programs which support attaching photos? I haven't found any and thats a feature I'd miss off of the built in Addressbook on the NX80. :(

I use TealPhone. HiRes support, lets me store more information and in a more user-friendly format.
