After installing AlbumSwap 1.1 by AiboHack, which isn't working by the way, messed up editing playlists from AudioPlayer. A hard reset with no restore or sync still won't fix it. What makes it worse is, AlbumSwap won't work! I made a new playlist, which is a .m3u file, and tried to load it in AlbumSwap, and it didn't change anything! http://www.1src.com/forums/images/smilie/images/smilies/mad.gif

What should I do?http://www.1src.com/forums/images/smilie/images/smilies/frown.gif

I just found that you need to use the built-in playlist editor for AlbumSwap to work. Now I am stuck.

Not sure I understand your problems. I am using AlbumSwap on an NX-80 to play mP3s off my CF card. I followed the instructions for Method 2 on Aibo Hack's webpage and found the software to be stable and work as described. Make sure to delete the MSAUDIO folder on the external card, too, before transferring tunes to the card. (http://aibohack.com/clie/albumswap.htm)

Once I installed Album Swap, I got not edit a playlist in Clie Audio Player. I used method 1, make a .m3u list, becuase I didn't want to move anything around. But the problem is that after installing Album Swap, I can not edit playlists in Clie Audio Player.

When I try to edit the main playlist, I get this error:

Internal error
Application internal error occurred. (code:0xA507)

Anyone know what this means?

AlbumSwap is a separate application. If you don't run it, it won't impact AudioPlayer.

I suspect the existing playlist on the memory stick is corrupted (this has happened to me using AudioPlayer alone - giving an "Internal error" when it tries to read the corrupted .M3U file)

If you have manually edited the .M3U file, you may have got it wrong.

Look for and *delete* the "MP3LIST.M3U" file in the "/PALM/Programs/MSAUDIO" folder
That's where the sorted playlist info is kept. It will delete your custom playlist and go back to the original. You should be able to edit it from there using the Audio Player editing feature.

As mentioned in the instructions ("Method 1"), you can manually edit the MP3LIST.M3U file yourself using any text editor.
Instead I recommend "Method 2". Don't use any .M3U files (or the Audio Player sort feature), and less chance of things screwing up.

If you don't like the default ordering, rename the .MP3 files to have the order you like [eg: I like to put the track number up front, supported by most CD ripping programs, eg "01 - First song.mp3", "02 - Second song.mp3" so songs play in album order]. This has the added advantage that you will (almost) always see the tracks in the proper order - when using the Windows Explorer, other players etc.

I deleted all the .m3u files. It works now! Thanks!
