I CAN'T believe NO ONE posted this!!!

It's only one of the best 'Tycoon games ever made... FOR the ZODIAC for FREE!!!!!

Major kudos to Shaun@Palm247 for picking this up! :D

Some caveats - You *will* need Transport Tycoon Deluxe, either the DOS or Win32 versions, to use this because it is mainly just the engine and some supporting files. All the graphics and data you need from the original program.
The whole lot takes up just under 8MB on VFS and 400kB internal RAM

Now with that out of the way, go and get it!! :D ;)

And to whoever asked 'What's so good about the Zod?' - It's stuff like this :D
This proggy is a PPC/Zod exclusive at the moment - It's signed and uses the Zod hardware but apparently does not work on other Palms... (Which kinda sucks in a way... I'm not a big fan of forced proprietory lock-in...)

Oh man this game is so cooool! :D

Only gripes so far is that it does feel a tad cramped (The game was originally for 640x480 'tho...) and there is no music. Yet. :D

And they're gonna be doing a generic Palm version at some point apparently too which is good news! :D

Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe is now hosted at the eSoft Interactive site. The game is available for Pocket PC and Zodiac devices. [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1151)]

Will this be available for regular Palm devices? (LifeDrive for instance?) :)

Hope it will be soon! TTD is a great game, and I would love to play it on my LifeDrive.

I already posted about this!

And it does indeed rock :D

Maybe merge both threads? (Admittedly no one else noticed my thread about this either 'tho...)

Does it actually run on the Z? I read a couple of threads in their support forum indicating that it didn't...

Yes you did post it earlier than I did but I believe Shaun and I have the same source. :)

Cyker, your thread has been merged. Thanks.

Well you both got it further up the chain than me. My source *was* Shaun :p :D

Man... I'm having a total TTDL revival overload right now... it's the first and only thing that has managed to pull me away from ChronoTrigger on my Zod2, and I just installed the newest PC version (This port is based on an opensource project called OpenTTD for those of you that don't know), and man... they've done a lot with it since I last looked at it... there are so many nifty mods for it now! Weeee! :D :D :D

*tycoon shock*

Tam: Apparently there isn't that much Zod-specific code in it, so adapting it for generic Palms shouldn't be too hard. Fragger (One of the coders?) posted that he is currently trying to get his hands on a T|3 and a T|5 for testing purposes.
I'm just trying to get MIDI support for the Zod at the moment ;) (Damn PPCs.... I didn't even know they *had* MIDI capabilities! :D)
Should be okay if we convert the TTDL MIDIs to type 0 using an app similar to the one I used to make all those MIDI alarms for my T665 all those years ago...
