1. The wireless card (WL100 or WL110)
2. An Internet connection you can share(cable, dsl, isdn, OC3, etc.)
3. A wireless access point(either a standalone access point or a wireless router if you have a mix of wired & wireless)
4. Enough common sense to read the manual to learn how to setup the AP, your PC, and the Clie(surprisingly, this step is optional-most people come here without doing research on their own or just don't take the time to read a little). :D

That should about do it. There are tons of different ways you could set up a wifi network. You'll just have to decide what works best for you and is cost effective. ;)

Thanks I think for now I will purchase the card and go to starbucks or some other access point and see what happens. I guess I will still need an ISP other than my local company that already provides me with my cable internet access

Why would you need another ISP if you already have cable? Maybe I'm not understanding exactly what it is you are wanting to do.

I have cable for my pc. My provider does not provide wireless access for home PC's.
Maybe you know a way around this. Also, I am contemplating using my motorola phone as a modem and connect through NEXTEL for my Clie'
Have you done this?

Maybe you should do some more research(Google). Apparently you have a different kind of "wireless" in mind than what normal people do. You will only be able to be wireless around your house unless you have,
A) a cell phone that you can get data service with and connect to your Clie or,
B) a metropolitan wireless provider - in which case you would be paying for a cable modem and this service.

Just buy a wireless router, hook it to your cable modem and you're mostly done.
