Mandrake Linux and Clie

As always Mandrake seems to work with just about everything out of the box. Plugged in my Clie SJ30 (recent upgrade from SL10, yummy!).

Ran the GPilot wizard, hit the hotsync button and wallop!

Works a treat syncing with Evolution.

Happy for you , i just upgraded my Mdk version from 9.0 to 9.1 (which i think does not increase the kernel version) and my TG50 is still not working.
I'm actually in 2.4.19mdkcustom (rebuilt)
I can see the visor.o.gz module in kernel/drivers/usb/serial but it seems there's no way to make a simple "modprobe visor" on my release.
I'm actually downloading a 2.4.21 brand new kernel (not sure if it's usefull but i'll make a try).

using 9.1, tried visor module, no go on NX70V. S360 works though. Go figure.

Well i've been through a little longer and after fighting with the nvidia drivers (which are no longer the same for mdk9.1 : remember i had to go from 2.4.19mdk to 2.4.21mdk for a usb visor update) and i have my pad recognized now when i hotsync ! Great !
Well in fact it works now, perfectly i'd say ! If anyone needs help .. i'm in.
Don't know yet how to run avantgo with linux so if anyone can tell me !
Mdk is not so bad after all ... ;-)

gimlii, are you using gnome or kde? I use kde. I can get kpilot to pull addresses from my NX70, nothing else. I would like to get my address book db to korganizer. Any tips?

i use gnome and kde, in fact i have a little pb syncing with avantgo on kde using kpilot , i haven't tried yet with evolution / gnome-pilot.
til now i can sync korganizer, knotes, kadressbook, but my clié is fed up with avantgo.. hope i'm gonna make it work soon.
til now i used the memory card but it seems it does not work with avantgo and my memory stick.
a little tip i can give you :
if you 've never used korganizer you may use the save function in korganizer wich will save a file with extension .ics , then use kpilot in the menu configuration > conduit configuration , select KOrganizer and clic on the button "Configure" then select the ics file you previously saved using KOrganizer (with the ics extension).

I have switched to gnome desktop (2.2) and now I can sync anything with no problems. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if the NX-60 works with mandrake linux 9.1 and Kpilot?

I am using the Gnome desktop.

Also, where can I download evoloution?
(It didnt install with linux, and I know of NO download sites, I am a newbie to linux.)
