Anyone have a workaround to get TiVo To Go files onto the LD? How 'bout home videos from a digital camcorder? Any step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

When TiVo2Go first premiered, someone pointed me to a free app called TivoToMPEGo which converted the TiVo files into unprotected MPG4 files, which I was then able to put into LD format using PocketDVD. The app is no longer available (developer apparently found legal problems with it), and beyond that, I don't know how to do it, although you may want to look at this thread on a TiVo forum (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=225409). {Prof. Jonathan}

Interesting. Looks like a 2 step process: 1 - *.tivo files to another format; 2 - other format to the Palm format. Assuming you can get step 1 accomplished, won't the LD do the conversion to Palm format when you copy the file into the LD via the LD Manager?
A related subject, how do you get DVDs onto the LD? For purposes of discussion, let's assume they are home video DVDs that you burned from your digital camcorder to a standalone DVD Recorder.

There are several commercial products you can buy, like PocketDVD. I actually like the FairUse Wizard, which is free.

Did a search for "TiVo" and this is still the only thread that pops up. I would've thought with all the recent interest in portable video generated by the 5th gen iPod that something more would be out there.
Original question still stands:
Is there an easy way to convert from a *.tivo file to something usable on a LD (preferably using TCPMP)? TIA.

TVHarmony (http://www.tvharmony.com/main/) makes a program called Tivo2Palm that converts .tivo files to an avi that tcpmp can read. There is also a Tivo2PSP application that might make mp4 files which can play on Clies. I'm not at home so I can't test it out right now.
