It may have been asked before, but has anyone else had trouble with a hotsync via bluetooth?
The problem I repeatedly encounter is the Bluetooth manager on my laptop states that the NZ has no services except OBEX Object Push which lets me exchange business cards.
Has there been a decent how-to written on this subject? And if so where? I have problems with my dog eating my USB cord, and would like to eliminate it from my desk.

Make sure your Bluetooth serial port number and the com port in hot sync mgr are the same. You can find the bluetooth serial port in your device manager on desktop.

BTW, r u using Mitsumi WIF-0402C USb adapter ? If so, dun use their driver, use Tecom driver. It works very fine at my side.
I agree with tlmill2500. Make sure your Bluetooth serial port number and the com port in hot sync mgr are the same.
Juz be careful if you install McAfee AntiVirus. It will halt your internet connection once you do a Bluetooth Hotsync. Disable all McAfee AntiVirus application during run up. Even stopping the McAfee Firewall will not help. It force me to refresh my whole system.

The BlueTooth serial port has com ports 4 - 14 filled, but when the devices are connected, they are connected on com 5. When I set the HotSync manager to com 5, the clie cannot connect because the port is already in use. Any other port, and the connection will time out while trying to connect to the desktop.
The BlueTooth PC card is IBM with the included IBM software and drivers on the laptop.

Uncheck 'Serial' and make sure only 'Com' is checked.
