Have you ever, successfully, logged onto your computer via windows RAS-Cradle/Cable? I was just tinkering but couldn't make it work.

Im sorry but I think I do not clearly understand the post but seem to be interested. So can you clearly re-formulate the thread again?:)

I am sorry for any ambiguity. I was in a rush when I posted. I should have just waited; Oh, well.
What I mean is... On my T5, I was playing with the connection preferences, and noticed one of the connection types is Cable/Cradle. I was wondering if you could use the cable to connect via RAS to a PC and get to the internet or something? I have never used windows Remote Access Server; at least not intentionally. So, I will play around with it this week and see what I can do to make it log onto my PC; like using the synch cable as a network cable. I just wondered if anyone had tried it before.
I really can think of no usefull purpose for this. If it is hooked up to the cradle it is obviously able to hotsynch. I just thought it would be neat.

I believe you have to have a some way of connecting the palm with the pc using ppp to be able to surf the web, etc. I use Softick PPP to connect my Tungsten E to the internet, works well, other than it is a bit slow.

That was it "Dr." Evil7 ;). Softick allowed me to get to the net from my palm using the cable. I just wanted to play with it and see how the browser/mail client worked.
BTW: Welcome to 1SRC.
Thanks,
Geoff
