hello,

i upgraded from a sj30 to a tg50.

i was using apple's isync, ical and address book with the sj30.

i haven't tried to sync with the tg50 yet but from what i understand i will have to get missing sync... that's okay because it would be nice to mount the memory stick on the desktop.

also, i'll be getting a blue tooth dongle for the ole imac and hopefully will sync through bluetooth

i read, in a tg forum, that the tg50 is a little slippery... i agree that it is a little to hold. i actually use the hand strap to help tether the unit to my hand by rapping it around a couple of fingers.

also, the keyboard is okay - just wish shift key were on both sides.

one other thing  i have trouble opening the cover... would have been nice to have a button type release.

Some people have stated that they couldn't open the cover I dunno why.

I think it's because of how 'snappy' the cover is. Without fingernails, it's not easy to just flip open with one finger. I had the same trouble the first time I tried.

So far, I've found the best way is to grip the cover with two fingers, one on either side of the device, and pull upwards. That does it.

Maybe mine is unique? I have about a mm of tab on the bottom of the cover to lift up.

I just use my thumb on the bottom, no nails, just finger.

i'm getting used to opening the cover... i kinda like the fit - tight. just need to get used to it.

now i have to figure out how to customize the catagories - any suggestions???

I like your moms fit...

erm...

To change the categories is almost impossible. Use zlauncher or the standard launcher. They are much better.

You don't need missing sync with Bluetooth, I use my NX-70 with os X and the BT dongle, and tho I have Missing Sync, it is not installed on my desktop where I use the BT. My laptop...well that's another story.
