Ever since I had to reset my palm I have had trouble installing some programs. Right now I am having trouble installing the RealOne software off of the Palm Software Installation CD. When ever I sync the sync gets stuck trying to install the RealOne software and displays the following information in the sync log:

HotSync operation started 07/12/05 11:51:44
- Install failed: C:\Program Files\Palm\Matia\Install\RealOneBase.prc
Install synchronization failed
HotSync Error: Connection is lost (6410)
HotSync operation complete 07/12/05 11:53:46

I have a Tungsten E which is about a year old.

Any help out be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the same problem after a hard reset? If that is the case, you may have to reinstall Palm Desktop on your PC.

Thank you for you input.

I have actually tried both (although not voluntarily, more because of circumstances outside of my control). One thing that sometimes works is using the IR port and not the USB cable. However this does not always solve my problem.

Here's (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=78,E=0000000000102462227,K=6174,Sxi=7,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=10759) what Palm has to say about 6410 errors with the T|E. There are a number of things you can try. Other than the cable or available memory on the handheld, most solutions are PC related.
