I am able to successfully sync clie mail with MS outlook however during the syncing process I get the following popup message on my computer:
"A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No."
Then it asks how long you want to allow access for.
It's kind of annoying having to deal with this box everytime I sync and was just wondering if anyone can help me get rid of it. Thanks.

Check out the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;263073
Basically, MS responded to some of the recent viruses by warning of all access by other programs to the address book. The article says that it's by design - i.e. not a bug! I generally click to allow the program to access the address book for a certain period of time. BTW, there are links to the specific versions of Outlook (98 & 2000). It doesn't look like you can either turn this off or allow "trusted" programs to have programatic access to the address book.

It appears that you can "customize the Outlook security settings to meet your organization's needs". Look at the following article from the Microsoft Office XP site (http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/appndx/appa11.htm). It tells how you can set up selective access.

...For use with Exchange servers only though.
