From GeekCoffee: New xMax Wireless Technology allows longer range, but at lower cost, by piggybacking on frequencies usually used by normal radio stations [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1130)]

A Florida-based company [xG Technology] has claimed that its new wireless technology can bring broadband to wider areas than other competing technologies due to the use of low frequencies to extend the operating distance.Yes, with lower frequencies comes longer operating distances. However, with lower frequencies also comes a lower data rate.

By piggybacking on frequencies usually used by normal radio stations[…]I assume they are using the third channel of the FM radio standard, as used in the US. Pulling from memory: That is about 18kHz of bandwidth. No very much. Again, low data rates.

Has anyone see the predicted data rates of this new technology?

Well, it may be a low frequency, but to compensate they've probably used a transfer method that uses a lower bandwidth within that frequency for data transfer. It probably has a throughput comparable to cable or DSL (4Mbps or so) for at least most of its distance.

Still did not see much on data-rates. Did see a lot on their error-rates. But again, if one lowers the data-rate, one can easily decrease the error-rates.
