AttN: NX70'ers w/Grey - Gunmetal Cases

How do you like them? Mine should arrive on Tuesday. Any pictures or regrets? I think the grey/gunmetal looks great, but have never seen one in person.....so, hopefully on Tuesday I won't be disappointed.

I have one and I love it! It looks really "high tech" ;)
IMO, it looks much better than the silver one.

The only issue is that any extra accesories like a cradle or even a metal case are made to match the silver one ...

i love the gunmetal color! a co-worker purchased a silver nx so i was able to compare them, and IMHO the gunmetal looks much cooler. you won't be disappointed...

it looks sick!! so much better in real life than even in the pictures. can't wait until i get my catterina red case from vaja in. it is going to make the gunmetal color look even better.

My gunmetal has a smoother texture than the silver NX I played with at Circuit City. Was it just me or has someone else noticed it too?
Anyway, I love mine and was adamant with Sony tech support to fix it because if they couldn't, I didn't want a silver replacement. She assured me that they could fix it...even though she told me she has a silver NX and wants a gunmetal.

Love my GunMetal Clie.  Got it from zones.com for 539.98 with $16 next day shipping.  Highly recommend zones.com.  They have wonderful sales people and a new warranty program that covers the screen for 2 years @ $90.  Buying that from them today.

I believe, it is using a new Palm OS 5.G (G=gunmetal) LOL ;)

is it harder to see the FN labeled keys that are in purple against the darker background?

I personally think the dark gray one blows the sliver one away, but this is a purely subjective thing. I do know that I wouldn't have bought one if it only came in silver. As for the purple lettering, it is probably a little harder to read, but that wouldn't kill it for me. Again, purely subjective.

The purple lettering is the biggest problem. It seems to vary from non- readable to acceptable, depending on the factory run.

Mine was unfortunately the non-readable type.

However, given that I rarely use the keyboard, ( I prefer the virtual keyboard better )

In the picture below it looks better because the flash picks up the purple color. So in fact it looks worse in real life;

I had to forcibly bend my NX in half to get the above photo, I hope I can straighten it out back to it's original shape!

I love my gunmetal and have a red Vaja case to make it really striking!!!

The colors of the screen look SO MUCH better against the grey!!!!

Also it doesn't show the dirt and "smudge" marks that the silver seem to get!

Thanks for the input everyone! So, does anyone think its worth it to try and sell my silver NX70V and get the gunmetal? I ma thinking to keep the silver since I already have it. But if the gunmetal is THAT much cooler, I might have to get one.

It's just a matter of the color, other than that they are the same exact machine.

I personnally was willing to wait as I REALLY hate the white-silver that Sony does. But it's all in the color you prefer. Some people LOVE the silver and wouldn't give it up for anything.

My wife and I were shopping for the Holidays. She came across the gunmetal and had to have it. She has good taste I must say.
