Hi,
I have an old (but still lovingly used) NR70v and I'm trying to connect it to the 'net (sharing my PC's connection via a cable inititially, but if I can prove to myself that it'll work, then I eventually hope to get a blue-tooth module and pair it via my phone).
I am having a frustrating time trying to work out how - and wondered if any grandly tech. orientated wizard might be able to give me some pointers...?!

You might want to try this: http://www.softick.com/ppp/

Thanks Cerberus,
I've tried Softick, but it won't run without the 4.1 Desktop (I've been running 4.0.1 up until now with no problems).
I've just updated to 4.1 - but now I can't get my NR70V to hotsync (it tries to connect, but times out - and the Hardware Manager on my PC gives an error message: "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)")
Any ideas...?!

Have you checked Sony's site to see if there are any updates to resolve this issue? I'm thinking there was something there at one point.

Yep, tried that but nothing there.
Seems to be perhaps the drivers that have gone missing with the update to 4.1...?

The drivers should still be on your original CD. You might try installing them from there. If that doesn't work, try open your device manager and then hotsync. When the Clie shows up in the device manager, try to delete it completely and let Windows try and reinstall it again. Or force it to use the drivers you want by clicking the Update Driver button on the properties tab for the Clie.
