View Full Version : yi show problems
how do you install the yishow back grounds ?
so far i imported them into my internal memory of the palm.
I also tried using yishow to browse for backgrounds, but it doesn't do anything ..

Go here:

You use msimport and get the clie to connect with your desktop, go into the palm folder and create directories for yishow and wallpaper and a folder named bg for backgrounds.(palm/yishow/wallpaper). Put backgrounds in the wallpaper folder, then go into the options from the pull down menu on the clie and select skin management, then hit the bg button, your background should be there, tap it then press load, it should work. If not, put your backgrounds in the bg folder and try the above steps.
Sorry this is so confusing, if you can't follow it try doing a search.

I tried what you mention and it does not work ....
With MS import I copy the *.jpg file to the wallpaper dir and I still cannot see it with the skin manager .
Although I did manager to get an XP background to it , I cannot seem to get anything else now?
Any idea why?
Maybe it's just me ...

Don't know, but I use the xp background and love it, I will never change it.

So you have to have your Memory stick in at all times in order to use the backgrounds?

No, I thought so, but I traded memory sticks and it was still there. I guess it is because you "load" it into the system.

Are your .JPGs in 320 x 320 (or 480) pixel resolution? They will not work if not. SplashPhoto does a nice conversion job and is very simple to operate. ;)
