Hi all. I have just bought a TH55 from John Lewis.com. Got it for £149 with 2 year warranty!
I have previously owned Jornada 568, Ipaq 3360, Ipaq 39 series, Ipaq 5500,
Palm TE, Clie NX73 blah blah blah so have some experience of Palm and MS operating systems. I have to say that this TH55 is absolutely superb. When I set it up it synched seamlessly with Outlook 2003! I love the screen and can't wait to learn all of the capabilities. :)

Hey,
Welcome aboard!! I sure that plenty of my fellow TH users will agree w/ you on the "superb factor" of the first impressions! There are plenty of threads all over the site on just about any and every problem, situation, or need that u may have! I dont think that there have been many uses that the TH can't do! So whatever your needs are, I'm sure that( if it hasn't been accomplished already) someone here will find a way to help ya w/ it! Hope that you come to find your Clie as useful as many of us have already have!!

Yes, welcome!

I've had my TH55 for over a year now, and I still love it.
It's held up very well living in a leather pouch case in my backpack and has survived more than a couple of adventures.
You are going to love it! Congrats!

Welcome and enjoy. As good as it is when it came out of the box, you'll find your TH will be better than that with all the info and programs on this site :) Enjoy your new TH and welcome to the club of wondering what to do when our TH PDA dies hehehe.

I saw it on the John Lewis.com site two days ago and had to order it. It was reduced from £200+ to £149 as it was the last one they had! :)

I already use an XDAII but i love the Sony Clie range and this one has to be the best so I am well chuffed! :)

I've just set up a connection with my home wireless network. Wow! Very straight forward and have excellent signal strength around the house. Most impressive. :D

I've done some travelling in the US with mine, and if the place offers WiFi it can connect. NetFront is a great browser too.
You should go to the Sony Support site, and/or here: http://www.sonyclie.org and get updates too.
