My Top Ten Palm OS Games

01. Liberty
Not really a game in itselsf, but still... Super Mario Land makes it worthwhile on its own - pure class...

02. Dark Haven - The Arena
Incredibly involving, yet very basic looking RPG. I spent hours and hours on this one.

03. Galax
Excellent conversion of Galaxians.

04. Bejewelled
One of the most addictive games I've played, with brilliant graphics and sounds.

05. Marcel Desailly Soccer
A promising start to football games for the Palm OS

06. Dope Wars
Another simple but addictive game.

07. Kyles Quest
A good RPG with dozens of adventures/missions to take on.

08. GTS
An exciting look in to the future of Palm OS racing games... not quite Gran Turismo on PS2 but it's only a matter of time...

09. Breakout
Hi-res arkanoid with loads of extras, bonuses and levels.

10. SFCave
A really old game (from '96 I think!) but addictive. Sadly no longer supported and doesn't run too well on OS4.0 hi-res machines...

I used to play Kyles Quest a fair amount on my old PDA, but haven't had the urge since before I got my NX, so haven't (re)installed it yet.

Aldon looks good (but I haven't decided if I'm going to register it yet or not), and I just got RifleSlugs-II which I expect to play a fair amount now. :)

I tested the beta of medieval heroes and it was very stable. It isn't really the same type of game as Aldon's though. Heroes can of reminds me of a extremely stripped down civilization type game. It is fun and addicting as hell but it is so simple to the point that i got bored really fast. I was sick of it in a week. I'd say give the demo a try for a while and see what you think

I also tried their Bowling... it has fantastic graphics ... and realistic game play!!!

The full version adds a lot to it. You can place units, etc, have more control over them, greater difficulty, more......

BTW ... in Medieval Heroes - how come I'm not receiving ANY money into my treasury, eventhough I get messages of tax incomes every day? Has anyone ever heard of games like Moonstone, Gods, Dungeon Master, Spy vs. Spy being remade otno Clie? Like Elite->Space Trader, Lords of the Realm -> MHeroes etc.

anyway Ball2 is currently my favourite game. It's simple as hell, has only LR gfx and no enhanced sound. But it's all in the gameplay. The levels are great and always offer a challenge. and it's freeware

oh, i think i misunderstood you, Trick. Did you mean the ROM files of arcade games for the emulators?
There are some sites on the web (try it using google search "arcade rom") where you can find them, some might be free for download legally already.

That's a tough question. I currently have 26 games on my Clie and it would be difficult to pick favorites because that changes all the time depending on what I'm in the mood for. These are the ones I seem to return to the most:
Acid Freecell, Acid Solitare, Bejewled, Billiards, Insaniquarium, Link Letters, Text Twist, Qubix, Scrabble, Vexed, Yahdice, and Card Club (three shuffles and a draw).

I have 4 tabs in ZLauncher for all my games, so I definitely know them well! The ones on my favorite list right now are:

300Bowl (I like the game play better than MegaBowling)
AcidSolitaire
BeBop (Sims on the Palm!)
Bejewled (of course)
Billiards (must have for high res+ devices)
Bump Attack (another superb game for high res+)
Crazy 8's (my favorite from Seahorse software, but they have LOTS of good card games)
Insaniquarium
Rally 1000 (still one of my favorite freeware games)
And the latest....Aggression! (Super Risk clone, awesome in high res+)

I want to support developers so they will keep writing good stuff for me. But that's just me.

I support developers who write software that looks very nice on my NR70V. I hope that by doing that, I am in my own little way encouraging them (and other developers) to write more software and games that maximize the use of the screen real estate on my NR.

While free games are great (particularly Patience and Rally 1000), developers will only be encouraged to go the extra mile to support a particular platform if they see a financial reward from doing so.

Glad you enjoyed it, I was surprised no one else listed it! My only gripe is that it's from Iambic, which means you can be sure you'll have to pay for any new boards they come out with (although there haven't been any for awhile).

Another one I think worth mention and haven't seen yet is P-Jonng. My favorite tile matching game, I find it the easiest to view and play and has all kinds of game options and tile sets. And is now in High Res+!
